Next week will be Thanksgiving Break. There will be no school on November 21, 22, or 23. Enjoy the break with your child.
Our next STOMP Bash will be coming up soon. Please make sure that you are practicing your child's word wall words nightly. They will need to know 50% of the word wall words that have been introduced to be able to attend the STOMP Bash. At the STOMP Bash, the students get to choose fun activities to do such as Art, Computers, Dance, Games, or Basketball. They also receive a special snack.
We will begin our Christmas Around the World unit after Thanksgiving break. Your child will get to learn how other cultures and countries celebrate Christmas. We will end the unit by having a Christmas Around the World Feast in which they will get to taste food from the countries in which we have studied.
On the last day before Winter Break, we will have a Polar Express Party. The students will get to watch the movie, read the book, and may wear their pajamas to school to be like the characters in the movie/ book. They will also get to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.
